Other missions

Moyamba Base Camp

During the 2014 Ebola crisis in West Africa, the International Humanitarian Partnership (IHP) played a vital role in supporting health responders. One of its six operations in the region focused on Moyamba, Sierra Leone, where the Norwegian Directorate for Civil Protection (DSB) led a team to establish a fully self-sufficient base camp.

Typhoon Haiyan

In response to Typhoon Haiyan, IHP built a large base camp in Guiuan, Philippines, from November 2013 to April 2014. Led by DSB (Norway) and supported by multiple IHP members, the camp served as a crucial hub for humanitarian coordination and operational support.

Burkina Faso Floods

In response to the 2009 Burkina Faso floods, IHP supported UNDAC by deploying ICT modules and experts to establish reliable communication networks. This support enabled coordinated relief operations and efficient needs assessments, ensuring timely assistance to flood-affected communities. The mission underscored IHP’s role in enhancing disaster response infrastructure.
