Release of IHP 30 Year Video

The International Humanitarian Partnership has released a commemorative video to mark its 30th anniversary, highlighting the network’s unique operational role in supporting humanitarian response efforts across the globe. The video was officially unveiled at the Humanitarian Networks and Partnerships Week (HNPW) 2025 in Geneva, coinciding with IHP’s anniversary celebrations.
Narrated by IHP chairs Gilles and Tom, the video takes viewers on a compelling journey through the partnership’s evolution over the past three decades. It showcases how IHP, comprised of civil protection and emergency response agencies from across Europe, has consistently provided rapid, reliable support to humanitarian missions in some of the world’s most challenging environments.
From the early days of basic field support to today’s highly specialized office and accommodation solutions, IHP has grown into a trusted logistics and infrastructure partner for UN agencies, including UN OCHA and IOM, and the European Commission’s DG ECHO. The video illustrates how IHP’s light base camps, prefabricated hubs, and connectivity solutions enable humanitarian responders to operate safely and effectively in crisis zones.
“Our support goes far beyond tents and transport,” says the video’s narration. “We provide secure communications, power, water, sanitation, and expert technical support, everything humanitarian teams need to function in the field.”
The video also underscores IHP’s commitment to capacity building through training, simulation exercises, and technical expertise. “Preparedness is just as critical as response,” the narration emphasizes. “By strengthening our own capacities and those of our partners, we ensure we’re always ready to help the helpers.”
The anniversary video has been widely shared within the humanitarian community and will be used as a key communication tool to raise awareness of IHP’s capabilities and contributions. As crises become increasingly complex and frequent, the video serves as both a tribute to past achievements and a reaffirmation of IHP’s commitment to humanitarian excellence.
