CGDIS – Luxembourg Fire and Rescue Corps
The Luxembourg Fire and Rescue Corps (Corps grand-ducal d’incendie et de secours, CGDIS) is the primary agency responsible for fire prevention, firefighting, and rescue operations in Luxembourg. CGDIS provides emergency services including fire suppression, technical rescue, hazardous materials response, and medical assistance, while also conducting public education and enforcing safety regulations. Equipped with highly trained personnel and modern resources, it protects lives, property, and the environment nationwide. Internationally, CGDIS actively participates in disaster response missions, working closely with Luxembourg’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) to ensure effective coordination and support for humanitarian efforts. This strong partnership amplifies Luxembourg’s contribution to global crisis management.

DEMA – Danish Emergency Management Agency
The Danish Emergency Management Agency (DEMA) is a government organization responsible for coordinating emergency response and preparedness efforts throughout Denmark. DEMA works to mitigate the impact of natural disasters, industrial accidents, and other emergencies by developing comprehensive plans, providing training and education, and coordinating resources across governmental and non-governmental entities. With a focus on rapid and effective response, DEMA plays a crucial role in safeguarding lives, property, and the environment during crises. Through collaboration with local authorities, emergency services, and international partners, DEMA strives to ensure resilience and readiness in the face of diverse emergency scenarios

DSB – Norwegian Directorate for Civil Protection
The Norwegian Directorate for Civil Protection (Direktoratet for samfunnssikkerhet og beredskap, or DSB) is a governmental agency in Norway tasked with ensuring the safety, security, and preparedness of the country’s population and infrastructure. DSB coordinates emergency response efforts, develops national strategies for risk management, and provides guidance and support to local authorities, emergency services, and other stakeholders. With a focus on preventing, preparing for, and responding to various hazards including natural disasters, accidents, and security threats, DSB plays a critical role in safeguarding lives and promoting resilience across Norway’s communities.

ERB – Estonian Rescue Board
The Estonian Rescue Board (Päästeamet) is Estonia’s primary agency responsible for ensuring public safety and managing emergency response operations. It oversees firefighting, rescue missions, and other emergency services nationwide. The Rescue Board works to prevent and mitigate the impact of fires, accidents, natural disasters, and other emergencies through preparedness measures, education, and enforcement of safety regulations. With a focus on rapid and effective response, the Rescue Board collaborates closely with local authorities, emergency services, and communities to protect lives, property, and the environment. Additionally, it plays a crucial role in promoting resilience and fostering a culture of safety across Estonia.

ESAF – Emergency Services Academy Finland
The Emergency Services Academy Finland (ESAF) is a nationally recognized institution dedicated to providing comprehensive training and education for emergency response professionals in Finland. ESAF offers specialized courses, workshops, and simulations tailored to various aspects of emergency services, including firefighting, medical response, search and rescue, and disaster management. Through hands-on training and theoretical instruction, ESAF equips participants with the necessary skills and knowledge to effectively respond to a wide range of emergencies and disasters. With state-of-the-art facilities and experienced instructors, ESAF plays a vital role in preparing Finland’s emergency responders to safeguard lives, property, and the environment during times of crisis.

FCDO – Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office
The Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO) is a government department of the United Kingdom responsible for promoting British interests overseas and supporting international development. It oversees the UK’s foreign policy, manages diplomatic relations with other countries, and represents British interests in international organizations such as the United Nations and the European Union. Additionally, the FCDO leads efforts to tackle global challenges including poverty, disease, climate change, and conflict through its international development programs. By coordinating humanitarian aid, promoting human rights, and fostering global partnerships, the FCDO works to enhance the UK’s influence and contribute to a safer, more prosperous world.

MSB – Swedish Civil Contingencies Agency
The Swedish Civil Contingencies Agency (MSB – Myndigheten för samhällsskydd och beredskap) is the Swedish government agency responsible for civil protection, emergency management, and societal security. MSB’s mission is to strengthen the resilience of Swedish society by coordinating preparedness efforts, providing guidance and support to local authorities and emergency services, and conducting risk assessments to identify potential threats and vulnerabilities. MSB also plays a central role in responding to emergencies and disasters, both domestically and internationally, by mobilizing resources, coordinating response efforts, and providing expertise and assistance. Through its activities, MSB works to ensure the safety and security of Sweden’s citizens, infrastructure, and institutions.

THW – German Federal Agency for Technical Relief
The German Federal Agency for Technical Relief (Technisches Hilfswerk, THW) is a civil protection organization in Germany responsible for providing technical assistance during emergencies and disasters. THW’s main tasks include rescue operations, such as providing support in the aftermath of natural disasters like floods, earthquakes, or storms. Additionally, THW offers technical expertise in areas like water supply, power generation, and infrastructure repair. With its volunteer-based structure and specialized equipment, THW plays a crucial role in supporting other emergency services and government agencies in ensuring the safety and well-being of the population during times of crisis.

OCHA
The United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs, founded in 1991, coordinates global humanitarian response efforts, advocating for affected populations and promoting preparedness. OCHA facilitates assistance, information sharing, and coordination among humanitarian actors to address crises and alleviate suffering.

UNHCR
The UN Refugee Agency, established in 1950, aims to safeguard the rights and well-being of refugees worldwide. Its objectives include providing protection, assistance, and durable solutions to forcibly displaced persons, advocating for their rights, and promoting international cooperation on refugee issues.

IOM
IOM, founded in 1951, aims to promote humane and orderly migration for the benefit of all. It provides services and support to migrants and governments, advocates for migrants’ rights, and fosters international cooperation on migration issues to ensure safe, orderly, and dignified movement of people worldwide.

WHO
WHO aims to promote health, prevent diseases, and address global health emergencies. Its objectives include providing leadership on international health matters, setting norms and standards, and coordinating research and response efforts to improve health outcomes and ensure equitable access to healthcare worldwide.

WFP
WFP aims to alleviate hunger and support food security worldwide. Its objectives include providing food assistance to those in need, especially in emergencies and conflict zones, promoting sustainable food systems, and advocating for policies that address the root causes of hunger and malnutrition.

UNICEF
UNICEF, established in 1946, aims to protect the rights and well-being of children worldwide. Its objectives include providing health care, education, protection, and emergency relief to children in need, advocating for their rights, and promoting policies and programs that ensure every child has a fair chance in life.

ECHO
ECHO aims to provide assistance to people affected by crises and disasters outside the European Union. Its objectives include delivering timely and effective humanitarian aid, building resilience in vulnerable communities, and promoting humanitarian principles and coordination globally.

MapAction
MapAction is a humanitarian mapping organization that aims to support emergency response efforts worldwide. Its objectives include providing timely and accurate geospatial information to aid agencies and decision-makers during crises, enhancing coordination and effectiveness of humanitarian response, and strengthening preparedness and resilience in disaster-prone regions.
