Other missions

TRIPLEX 2016

The 2016 TRIPLEX exercise, hosted by the Norwegian Directorate for Civil Protection in southern Norway, brought together over 200 participants from 36 organizations and more than 70 nationalities. Centered on a realistic scenario involving Hurricane "Windblown," which devastated the fictional country of Sörland, the exercise tested emergency response coordination among UN agencies, the EU Civil Protection team, NGOs, military actors, and private sector partners. The event began with workshops on the latest humanitarian tools and mechanisms, followed by a three-day simulation focused on assessments, coordination, and response planning.

Hurricane Dean

In response to Hurricane Dean's devastation in Jamaica in 2007, the International Humanitarian Partnership (IHP) deployed Sweden's ICT support module to assist the UNDAC team. This critical setup ensured robust communication and coordination in the aftermath of the disaster, enabling efficient humanitarian response and decision-making during a challenging recovery period.

Wabe Shabelle Flooding

In 2005, during the Wabe Shabelle flooding in Ethiopia, the International Humanitarian Partnership (IHP) provided essential ICT support to the United Nations Disaster Assessment and Coordination (UNDAC) team. IHP deployed communication specialists and equipment to establish reliable connectivity in the flood-affected areas, enabling efficient data sharing and coordination among humanitarian actors.
