Other missions

Azraq Refugee Camp

In response to the Syrian refugee crisis, IHP supported UNHCR in Azraq Refugee Camp by constructing 80 office spaces. These facilities enhanced coordination and aid delivery, ensuring better services for thousands of refugees in Jordan’s desert-based camp.

Sumatra Earthquake

In response to the devastating 2009 Sumatra earthquake, IHP supported UNDAC and OCHA by deploying ICT modules to restore communication networks and a base camp to house relief workers. The ICT setup, including satellite phones and internet access, enabled efficient coordination, while the base camp provided essential facilities for responders.

South Sudanese Civil War

During the 2013 South Sudanese war, IHP provided critical technical support to UNHCR, focusing on WASH (Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene) and electricity. By establishing essential infrastructure in refugee camps, IHP ensured access to clean water, sanitation, and reliable power, significantly improving living conditions for displaced populations during the crisis.
